The book “Woyzeck” is  a very famous german drama of Georg Büchner.
The book includes 26 pictures (technique: woodcut), in the size 40x 30 cm.

The drama is about the poor soldier Woyzeck who becomes a murder to his beloved Marie by outer circumstances and by his inner conflicts.

I developed for each character a simplified wood-puppet-like appearance and tried to create in each scene the mysterious, psychic confused atmosphere of “Woyzeck”.
